ACNE: $1495 (savings of $222)
As one of the most common skin diseases, acne affects about 89% of all Americans at one time or another. It is the over-production of the sebaceous glands that contribute to the development of acne and why this occurs is not known. Since the outer layer skin is constantly shedding and being replaced with new cells, acne occurs as the natural exfoliation process slows down and a gradual build-up forms and retention hyperkeratosis occurs. Dead skin cells stick to the surface and begin lining the inside walls of the follicles. The results...microcomedones, closed comedones (whiteheads), open comedones (blackheads), papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts.
HYPERPIGMENTATION: $1520 (savings of $236)
This is not a skin type, but a challenging skin condition - and anyone is susceptible! Skin discoloration is caused form long-term sun exposure, acne, abrasive scrubs, over stimulating treatments, or PIH(post inflammatory hyperpigmentation), birth control pills, estrogen, pregnancy, razor bumps, severe sunburn, eczema, chemical irritations, electrolysis, rashes, certain prescription medications, chicken pox, picking and scratching, insect bites, trauma to skin, surgical procedures, and perfumes sprayed on sun exposed areas. And in ALL cases of hyperpigmentation, the sun always makes it worse. However, the GOOD news is that this is a condition that responds well to various peels and lightening treatments.
ROSACEA: $1400 (savings of $235)
According to medical research, there is no proven cause for rosacea. This is a common, yet often misunderstood, inflammatory skin disease that may cause facial redness, sensitive skin, burning, stinging, swelling, papules, broken red capillaries, red gritty eyes, and in more advanced cases, a disfiguring bulbous nose. Often misdiagnosed as adult acne, allergy or eczema. Rosacea needs to be addressed in treatment and daily care because if left untreated, rosacea tends to worsen over time.
